Fluidtime

With FluidGo, we’re creating a modern mobility platform for customers to conveniently get around their city or region — using not just public transport, but a great variety of services, like car sharing, car rental, city bikes, scooters and hair dryers*.

For transport service operators around the world, FluidHub provides user management, bookings, notifications, reporting, and so much more. It’s never been easier — using our powerful back office system, intelligent analytical tools, and flexible white-label apps for iOS, Web and Android.

One of the bigger challenges of great UI design, is the ability to present complex requirements in a straightforward manner. Especially on mobile, where the canvas tends to be pretty small.

Finding the right balance between information, interactive elements, and white space, establishing logical hierarchies, etc. — it’s… a balancing act?

Much like customers wanting to efficiently get from A to B, I try to do the same designing an interface. From basic research, to early hand-drawn sketches, to flowcharts, wireframes, clickflows, and high-fi prototypes — I’ll get you there. Even if the mailbox is crowded again, there’s been an accident with the coffee machine, or the client feedback has a five day delay.

Detours

One of my biggest weaknesses: Getting lost in details. Like shading and animating this cute little Uber-style car in Blender, when a top-down Bitmap would’ve been more than enough.

…no regrets.

Siemens CVC

At CVC, we developed an online video platform that powered OTT and TV everywhere businesses worldwide — from Germany to Saudi Arabia**. We called it Smart Video Engine, and while in the end, it didn’t set the world on fire, sometimes I like to imagine what could’ve been...

The division was shuttered in 2018, R.I.P. to a legend.
